Ichiban Kasuga, a young member of a low-level Yakuza group, is sentenced to 18 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Without ever losing faith in his peers, he ends up serving his sentence but discovers that when he leaves, no one is there to welcome him and that his clan has been decimated by the man he once respected the most.
Alone and lost, he makes it his mission to uncover the truth behind his clan's betrayal and take his life back by becoming an unexpected hero for those rejected by society!

This new installment in the series of Yakuza games celebrates 15 years of the series and therefore introduces a new hero for the first time in 10 years! Yakuza: Like a Dragon marks a new beginning for the franchise. Most of the game takes place in the Ijincho district of Yokohama City, where players will explore a whole new, ultra-realistic side to Japan that they have never seen in the series before. In addition, Yakuza: Like a Dragon's combat system has been completely redesigned, combining the action of previous Yakuza games with a turn-based system familiar to RPG fans.
