WWF Smackdown is a professional wrestling game where the player can choose up to 36 wrestlers to wrestle in singles, tag team, backstage, hardcore matches and more.

Apart from the default WWF wrestlers, the player can also choose to create new wrestlers with their own unique abilities and personalities.
