Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair is a game quite different from most games in the Wonder Boy series. You play as a green-haired guy named Leo, who must attack invaders who are trying to collect weapons and use them to destroy the country. The game starts out as a simple platformer, but it's just when Wonder Boy enters the skull further that the game turns into a shoot 'em up, so basically the gameplay consists of action scenes and shooting.
