WipEout 64 follows WipEout XL, taking place one year later (2098). Like other installments in the series, this is a futuristic racing game in which players control hovercraft and use weapons to damage opponents' vehicles, trying to finish the race in first position. The gameplay is similar to its predecessor in many ways like hovercraft selection, handling system, visuals, etc.
