Wipeout 2 is a game based on the "game show" of the same name broadcast on the major television network ABC in the United States. In it, the game is organized as if the players participate in numerous events during an "episode," as if it were part of a television episode. Each event is preceded by an introduction by the game characters of the show's hosts (John Henderson and John Anderson), and just before the start of the event, a mock interview with hostess Jill Wagner.
