Final Fantasy Chronicles contains two role-playing games:
Final Fantasy 4
Chrono-trigger
The most notable changes from this version are included in Final Fantasy IV. The level of difficulty and complexity of the gameplay has been increased to match the original Japanese release, as opposed to the simplified Western SNES release (titled Final Fantasy II). The game's script was re-translated, aiming to include dialogue omitted from the original western release. Additionally, there are new CG movies at the start and end of the game.
Chrono Trigger has changed less. The gameplay and story remain the same, but several anime-style movies have been added. The game also contains a number of additional features: a "cinema" mode which allows the player to watch the game's movies and listen to its soundtrack, as well as the unlockable bestiary, dungeon maps and a gallery of art.
