Watchmen: The End Is Nigh is a two-part video game that serves as a prelude to the movie Watchmen, based on the comic book Watchmen. The game was first announced as a download for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, with the first edition releasing on March 4, 2009, to coincide with the theatrical release of the film. The second episode was released on July 30, 20092.
Both episodes were released on physical media on July 21, 2009 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 version is subtitled The Complete Experience and includes an extended version of the film in Blu-ray2 format.
