In this game, you play as Michael Chen and your job is to make your way through seven stages.
The gameplay is divided into two parts. The odd-numbered stages require you to shoot gunslingers who hang out in saloons, hotels, and towns. When a gunslinger threatens you with a gun, you only have a few seconds to shoot them before losing lives. If this happens, you can increase your life meter by shooting barrels scattered throughout the town and then detonating the revealed bomb, eliminating any gunslingers in sight. You must be careful not to shoot innocent civilians or surrendering gunslingers, or you will lose your life. At the end of these rounds, the leader will emerge from a building and move from side to side, occasionally shooting you if he gets the chance.
