On the abandoned remnants of the planet Astara, the villagers of Rockhaven lived difficult but peaceful lives, until one day the Shadowraith, Darth Yabu, and his minions descended from the sky. With ferocity and ruthless efficiency, they swooped down on the townspeople, enslaving them to work deep within the caves that surrounded their village.
Darth Yabu murdered the young Vexx's grandfather, who managed to sneak aboard the enemy wind. There, locked deep within the Yabu Shrine, were Astani's last pair of battle gauntlets. The gauntlets jumped onto Vexx's outstretched hands and bound to his arms, giving him special powers. Prepared to meet his fate, Vexx embarks on a quest through volcanic islands, frozen citadels and giant castles to confront Darth Yabu, save his people and avenge the death of his grandfather.
