Umitsuri ni Ikou Wonderswan ws SWJ-CCJ001

Umitsuri ni Ikou! is a simple fishing simulator where you control a little boy in various seaside locations; a pier, a beach, a rocky outcrop, and the ocean.

As you cast, a bar moves up and down on the right side of the screen. When you press the A button, the bar stops. Depending on how high the bar is when you stop, it depends on how far your line has traveled. Bigger fish hide further away; however, larger fish are harder to catch given their distance from the shore.

Once your hook is in the water, you'll be treated to a [fisheye?] view of it in the brine. The bottom water is represented in different gradients so the player can tell if they're rising or falling. A meter on the right side of the screen indicates your depth; the further you cast, the deeper you'll be.

Pulling the line upward will attract the fish to the hook. If someone hooks, you'll get a "HIT." The view will now return behind the fisherman. Depending on the indications of a bar at the bottom, you'll have to push left and right, depending on how the fish tries to escape while pressing A.

Once caught, you will learn how big your fish was and can exchange data about it with other WonderSwan players.
