Twisted Metal 2 features destructive car battles, playable in full tournament or single match. The action takes place in eight different locations around the world, on different surfaces, many of which feature destructible buildings and monuments.
The fight takes place between a wide range of vehicles ranging from a man strapped between two wheels to an ice cream truck. They have their own strengths and weaknesses, using an eclectic arrangement of weapons including bombs and missiles, and culminating in its own final sequence, complete with a tongue-in-cheek line in humor.
