You play as Flynn, who has been zapped into the circuits of the Master Control Program (MCP). The MCP has plans to take over the world, and only Flynn can stop it.
Maze-A-Tron's ultimate goal is to disable the MCP. Maze-A-Tron is played in rounds; Circuit Maze and the main control program. You walk around the maze and collect energy for your shields, which can be used to protect Flynn from certain enemies. You also collect zeros which are used to clear RAM.
When you switch to the main control program, the MCP works to repair the RAM you cleared. Your objective here is to fire a Bit-Gun at pairs of BIT Streams and BIT Stacks before they reach the top of the screen.
