Tony Hawk's Skateboarding (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in the United States, sometimes abbreviated as THPS) is a skateboarding simulation video game developed by Neversoft and published by Activision from September 1999 on PlayStation. The game was ported the following year to Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, Dreamcast, then in 2003 to N-Gage.

Tony Hawk's Skateboarding allows the player to play skateboard in an urban universe recreated in 3D and a rock and hip-hop atmosphere. The player embodies various famous skaters and must perform skate tricks (slide, grab) or missions such as collecting objects. The game offers several game modes including a career mode, a free mode, a single session mode, a multiplayer mode. The career mode allows you to develop the abilities of the characters or their equipment. Each level offers different objectives to perform such as achieving challenges, specific skate tricks, obtaining the best score, or collecting items scattered throughout the levels. The levels can be urban or competition type in skateparks. The multiplayer mode allows several games like Graffiti, Trick Attack or Horse. The ports are generally very faithful, except for the Game Boy Color version which offers two significantly different types of gameplay.
