12 Holy Funk Albums are missing from the planet Funkotron and are believed to be on Earth. The funky duo, ToeJam & Earl; with their new friend, Latisha; take it upon themselves to get them back. Later, they discover a disturbance in the balance of funk and have to deal with the evil side of funk - the 'Anti-Funk'.
The gameplay consists of running through randomly generated 3D areas and neutralizing earthlings with "funk fu"; while searching and collecting items and bonuses.
2 Player Mode plays in 2 player co-op mode, where the screen splits when players split up and rejoins when they are together.
