This handheld version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2000 is the only game in the series to appear on Game Boy Color. The game allows the player to compete against six PGA Tour pros. There are four different game modes: Kick, Tournament, Skins Game, and Shootout. Three courses exist: Summerlin, Sawgrass and Scottsdale. These are all official Tournament Players Club courses. Up to four players, controlled by a human or a computer, can play at any one time.
When playing, the player must first see a top-down view of the tee. Here he can get wind and terrain information and adjust his rotation and reticle. Once ready, the player must use a power meter to take the shot. The player must click it three times, first to start the backswing, then to complete the backswing at the correct strength, and finally to hit the ball at the correct time.
