Threads of Fate combines the gameplay of a 3D action game with an RPG character system. The game features two different main characters and two different scenarios.
Young warrior Rue embarks on a journey to revive his beloved guardian, Claire. Mint, who has lost her right to the throne of East Heaven Kingdom, seeks world domination and revenge on her younger sister. Both live in the same world at the same time and both seek the same powerful relic to help them achieve their goals.
During their journey, the two characters must explore areas filled with puzzles and enemies. To solve certain mysteries or overcome certain obstacles, they must make use of special abilities. Using collected coins, Rue has the ability to transform into defeated monsters, while Mint can learn and use a variety of powerful magic spells.
