The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (Polish: Wiedźmin 2: Zabójcy królów) is the sequel to The Witcher video game developed by CD Projekt studio. It was released on May 17, 2011 on PCs equipped with Windows. The dematerialized version of the game, sold on Steam and GOG.com, is published by CD Projekt. The boxed versions are published by Namco Bandai Games in Europe, and by Atari Inc. in North America.
A totally redesigned version for the console was released for Xbox 360 in April 2012, a year after the PC release.
The game was made backward compatible for the Xbox One console in January 2016.
