It was released on November 21, 1998 in Japan, November 23, 1998 in North America, then on December 11, 1998 in Europe and Australia. It is the fifth installment in The Legend of Zelda series, five years after The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and is the first three-dimensional installment.
