THE GETAWAY (PLAYSTATION 2 PS2)

The Getaway is a video game developed by Team Soho and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released in Europe on December 11, 2002, on PlayStation 2. It is the first installment in The Getaway series. The development of the game was promising, especially given the large budget allocated by Sony to developers: more than 80 million francs (about 12 million euros). The game was advertised as a "strong rival to the GTA series", which was then the best among action games. Most journalists were very disappointed when it was released, calling it a "beautiful disappointment", with nevertheless an excellent realization, and a wonderful soundtrack.
