Driving in the car known as "General Lee", you have to dodge all sorts of obstacles in an attempt to catch up with Jeremiah Stinge. Beware though as Boss Hog and his police are trying to chase you. The Duke boys are on the side of the law as usual in this storyline and it was Jeremiah who orchestrated things to put them on the wrong side of the law.
Gameplay is a top-down view of your vehicle heading vertically down a path across the screen. Also on the screen are your speedometer, a bonus stopwatch (faster times mean more points!) and a gearshift. The General Lee itself has gears 1-4 and higher gears mean MORE SPEED. As for obstacles, the path ahead is full of hills and oil slicks, making it difficult to catch up (and overtake) your prey.
Completing levels results in faster chases and more obstacles on the road. Also an increased presence of "Boss Hogg".
