TEARAWAY UNFOLDED (PLAYSTATION 4 PS4)

Tearaway: Unfolded is a reworked and expanded version of the 2013 PS Vita game Tearaway. It's an action platformer set in a world where everything is made of paper. Many distinct features from the original game incorporated the Vita's microphone, touchpads, and dual cameras. This experience carries over to the PS4 version, but functionality depends on the peripherals the player has. For example, for the player to appear as the face of the sun in many segments of the game, the PlayStation Camera is required, but it is not required to play the game. The camera can also be used to capture world elements real and use them as in-game textures.

Another feature was to use the rear touchpad to virtually run your fingers across surfaces in the game world. This is impossible on the PS4, but the DualShock 4 controller contains a front touchpad that allows other elements, for example example for rig sections, to create gusts of wind with sweeps (replacing the microphone) and the built-in SIXAXIS motion sensor is used for a specific type of rigs. There are also new elements, such as the Guiding Light ability using the DualShock 4 lightbar to shine on the screen to grow plants or light up areas, and a new section that pretends enemies are brought to the inside the controller. This ties into a new minor storyline where the Scraps attempt to build their own DualShock controller. Also new is the ability to throw an object such as a rock across the screen, grab it using the controller, and then send it back to another place in the game world, for example to solve riddles. Drawing and creating new elements using the touchpad is still present.
