Dance Dance Revolution, or DDR, is a foot-based video game. It was originally released as an arcade game by Konami in Japan in 1998 on the Bemani System 573 Analog system. Since then, many variations have appeared, including home versions. Until 2008, the European and some Japanese versions of the game were known as Dancing Stage.
