Superbeat: Xonic is a rhythm action game that includes several different game modes aimed at different levels of difficulty. The game can be played entirely by buttons or touch screen, or both. The first-person perspective is presented as if you're walking through a tunnel as the notes arrive at high speed. They either go to the left or right side of the screen, where you can tap them (or press the right button) when they approach you. Some notes simply require a quick tap, some may require a hold, and some may require movement that, if not done using a touchscreen, can be achieved with analog joysticks. The game features a wide variety of tracks, many of which are available as downloadable content.
