Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Sūpā Mario Gyarakushī Tsū?) is a platform video game developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo and published by Nintendo for the Wii. It was unveiled at E3 2009 and is the sequel to Super Mario Galaxy. It was released on May 23, 2010 in North America, May 27, 2010 in Japan, June 11, 2010 in Europe, July 1, 2010 in Australia, and January 20, 2011 in South Korea. It is the fifth three-dimensional platform game in the main Super Mario series, following Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario 64 DS, and Super Mario Galaxy.
