In 2002, Super Mario World was ported by Nintendo Research and Development 2 to Game Boy Advance under the title Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2. more than one other playable character; he can jump higher than Mario but runs a little slower. Voices have also been added to both characters. This version does not have the same collision system as the Super NES version: if Mario fire or cape touches an enemy, he becomes Super Mario again and not Little Mario. The title's sprites have been changed, and its appearance is closer to the first Super Mario Advance, which was based on Super Mario Bros. 2.
Completing the Special world no longer allows you to change the colors of Dinosaur Land and the appearance of certain enemies: this requires finding all 96 exits. The Super Mario Advance 2 ending image has been redone and a never-before-seen ending sequence appears when all the Yoshi pieces have been found. These pieces, five in number per level, are indeed now counted; obtaining all of them transforms them into “Princess” pieces.
