On an island in the Pacific Ocean, toys known as Squeeballs are produced. However, only Squeeballs that pass rigorous quality assurance testing are allowed to be sold in stores. So it's up to the player, who takes on the role of tester, to see which Squeeballs are up to snuff.
Squeeballs Party is a collection of over 150 mini-games. The game offers eleven different game types with up to fourteen different challenges (variants) for each game type. The game types are as follows:
10 Pin Bowling - Throw a bowling ball down a lane and knock down pins with Squeeballs on them.
Cannon - Players hit Squeeballs, which are fired from a cannon, with a racket.
Cooking - Players follow recipes to make food using motion control moves.
Paint by Squeeball - Slingshot Squeeballs to splatter them onto a canvas that has a design on it, to fill it with color.
Shock - Players must use precision movement to move a ring through a shock wire.
Stampede - Squeeballs rush towards the screen and the player must shoot them before the whole screen fills up.
Crazy Lanes - Bowling that takes place on a lava lake. Players can actually take direct control of the bowling ball.
Feeding Frenzy - Players must shoot the correctly colored Squeeballs into the mouths of the charging El Toro Squeeballs.
Pumping - Players inflate a Snorgle Squeeball with hot air, then guide it towards a target as it deflates in mid-air.
Golf - Throw a Squeeball in the air, then jump it on the water while trying to land on a target.
Squeeball Test Belt - Do various damage to Squeeballs when they come off a treadmill using the correct move based on the Squeeball currently being tested.
The main game modes offered include Challenge Ladder mode, Single and Party Game modes, and a Head-to-Head mode.
The game records players' high scores, keeps track of various stats (such as the number of Squeeballs tested), and the player can even unlock character bios for individual Squeeball types.
