SOLARIS ATARIS 2600

Solaris is a sequel to Star Raiders. The Zylons are back and trying to take over the galaxy again! Your objective is to destroy all the Zylon fighters you encounter, rescue the cadets trapped on the Zylon planets, and find the planet Solaris to protect it from the Zylons. Your spaceship is equipped with a galactic map that can be used to warp to different sectors of the galaxy. The map shows the location of Zylon Squadrons, Zylon Planets, Federation Starbases, Wormholes, Star Clusters, and Solaris when you find it. By warping to the correct sector, you can fight the many types of Zylon fighters to prevent them from attacking federation bases and planets. Your spaceship has a limited amount of fuel; when you see the fuel gauge getting too low, you'll need to teleport to a federation starbase to refuel (make sure you leave enough fuel to teleport). When flying over a planet controlled by Zylon, you will see your cadets on the surface. If you save all the cadets while flying, you will receive bonus points and an extra spaceship. The Zylons have many different types of fighters you'll encounter, as well as narrow corridors with blockades you'll need to navigate to reach new places in the galaxy.
