The scenario of Sniper Elite III takes place three years before the events of Sniper Elite V2, retracing the exploits of the officer of the Office of Strategic Services Karl Fairburne, who takes part in the North African conflict, during the Second World War, where he learns the secret of the development of a "super-weapon" by the Third Reich, the Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte project.
