Shaun White Skateboarding is a sports game, similar to Tony Hawk games. Shaun White is the guest star, but he is not the main playable character.
The game is set in the Ministry-controlled gray city of New Harmony with similar features to Orwell's "1984". Only the player, who can do tricks on skateboards, can change this city. The game has many moves that can be performed. It also has some "magic" elements - the player can create special structures with his mind. Next to that, Shaun White Skateboarding is a "normal" skate game - the player uses the city structures to do tricks on dizzying heights, walkways, half-pipes, bowls and elongated rails for tricks. long grinds...
The game world is almost open - the player can freely ride on skateboards (or walk on legs) in areas, but new districts must be unlocked first. By performing tricks in areas, people will be inspired and environments will become more colorful.
