SAMURAI CHAMPLOO SIDETRACKED (PLAYSTATION 2 PS2)

Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked is based on the TV show of the same name, featuring the show's characters, Mugen, Jin, and Fuu, as well as an unlockable character created exclusively for the game. The main story is the same, the player must embark on a journey to the northern lands of Enzo, present-day Hokkaido, in search of a samurai master, but must face perilous enemies such as masked assassins, mercenaries, mythical beasts and even gangster monkeys. There are also different endings for each character in the game.

The game has a hip hop feel, with the combat engine connected to the music of the game, choosing different hip hop grooves which will determine the combo that will be used. To use these grooves, players must visit a town's store, purchase discs to take into battle. Each track contains a certain combination of buttons to press to use them, with each recording having a unique attack. The American voice actors from the dubbed version of the animated show in the United States also reprise their voice roles for the game.
