A planned attack on Nu Earth goes awry when a general becomes a traitor, resulting in the massacre of Rogue's comrades.
The game begins with Rogue and his comrades launched from a drop-ship. They are under fire from the Norts because of the information that was leaked by the general. Upon landing, the first mission is a tutorial on using Rogue's skills, along with Gunnar's biochips and then Bagman's. Helm's third biochip is received on a later mission. Biochips have their own abilities. Gunnar is pinned to the side of Rogue's rifle and can be used as a sentry while Rogue flanks the enemy. Bagman provides ammo and upgrades for Rogue's gear from salvage collected along the way and also takes care of his health. Helm is used to access computer consoles and panels allowing Rogue to access forbidden areas.
Rogue fights his way through the various levels as stealthily as possible trying to surprise the Norts with lethal blows, but with the arsenal at his disposal he is fully capable of unleashing hell and taking on the 'enemy. Pursuing the traitorous General, Snape eventually catches up to the final mission with an abundance of Norts trying to stop him.
