Rock Band is a video game series developed by Harmonix and MTV Games, and distributed by Electronic Arts for the Nintendo DS, iOS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, and Xbox 360 systems. The series, inspired by the Guitar Hero series also developed by Harmonix, allows up to four players to play, or imitate, rock music pieces using a game controller or a modeled instrument. Players can play lead guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums, and also sing using a USB microphone. A leaderboard is then established, evaluating the player's synchronization.
