Crackdown is a third-person action shooter video game developed by Realtime Worlds and published by Microsoft Games Studios for the Xbox 360. The game was released on February 20, 2007, in North America and on February 23, 2007, worldwide. Crackdown was designed by David Jones, the founder of Realtime Worlds and also the creator of the Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings games. The sequel to this game, Crackdown 2, was released in 2010 for the same console.
