Reggie Jackson Baseball (American baseball in Japan and PAL countries) is, as the name suggests, a simulation of America's most beloved sport: baseball. There are four modes in the game: Exhibition, Tournament, Watch Mode and finally a Home Run Contest. In watch mode, the computer simply plays against itself, and in tournament mode, you play against the computer. The other two modes can also be played against a computer or a human opponent.
You can choose Major League Baseball teams in all of these modes. During gameplay, the player controls the pitcher and batter from a third-person view; the view changes from top to bottom after a strike from a batter, so the player can see a large portion of the pitch. Events such as injuries or cheerleading performances are graphically represented in the game.
