In this Famicom version of the arcade hit, you are faced with 4 different scenarios (of increasing difficulty) and more in depth than the original game.
But the basic elements of Rampart are still there: you first build a castle out of Tetris-esque pieces. Then you place a series of cannons and use them to bombard the enemy. Then you repair all the damage the enemy has done to your fort and start over.
When you reach a certain number of points, the scenario is erased and you can choose another one.
