Quake 4 is a first-person shooter (FPS) released in 2005, created by id Software and developed by Raven Software.
More than just a sequel to Quake III (from which it takes on the nervousness and speed of multiplayer play), it is also the sequel to Quake II, as far as the single-player mode and the scenario are concerned. The game uses the Doom 3 engine, in an improved version.
