Race Driver adds storyline and career structure to the Codemasters touring car racing lineage. You are Ryan McKane, son of a fatally injured runner and younger brother of a high-achieving runner. Guide Ryan to the top of closed wheel races.
A wide list of championships and cars are presented. You can drive a Mercedes DTM silhouette car, a Peugeot BTCC, Australian V8 Supercars, and more. Realistic circuits are included, although many must be unlocked. The physics engine is also realistic and several camera angles are offered.
The Director's Cut version contains additional tracks and some championships are updated.
