Pro Mahjong Kiwame is a four-player Riichi mahjong game, unlike most one-on-one Mahjong games released back then and modern casual games. Players take and discard tiles until they complete their hands by forming groups and pairs. The game offers up to 16 professional mahjong players and 3 game modes to play: professional section, gamble section and practice section. There is no story mode and the difficulty of the game is very high. Pro Mahjong Kiwame's modeling of a serious mahjong game have been recognized by the Japan Mahjong Federation, which recommends playing these games.
