PRIMAL (PLAYSTATION 2 PS2)

Primal can be described as a "3D platformer", being somewhat similar in core gameplay mechanics to the Tomb Raider games. Puzzle solving and action-based combat form the core of the gameplay. The player can switch between Jen and Scree at any time; Jen is able to fight, but Scree is invulnerable to enemy attacks. When Jen is unable to fight, Scree must quickly revive her within a time limit; failure to do so ends the game prematurely.

The fight is heavily based on "finishing moves" and Jen's ability to transform into demonic forms. There are four demons that Jen can fuse with; they are obtained one by one as the game's narrative progresses. These demonic forms allow Jen to use special abilities, including jumping to extreme heights, swimming abnormally fast, slowing time, and wielding powerful weapons.
