The portable version of Power Rangers: Ninja Storm is a side-scrolling action game where players take control of one of 6 available Power Rangers, some of them grouped together.
The choice of available rangers is as follows:
Group: Red, Blue, Yellow Wind Rangers
Group: Crimson, Navy Thunder Rangers
Ground: Green Samurai Ranger
Players can switch to any of the rangers in the groups by pressing Select. Pressing Select while playing as the Green Samurai Ranger causes him to do a special attack that damages all surrounding enemies.
