Pokémon yellow version: special edition Pikachu (Pocket Monsters Pikachu), commonly known as Pokémon Yellow is a Japanese role-playing video game from the Pokémon license developed by Game Freak under the direction of Satoshi Tajiri. The game is a slightly modified re-release of the Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue game duo and was released for the Game Boy handheld console in 1998 in Japan, 1999 in North America and Australia, and 2000 in Europe.
