Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are two role-playing video games in the Pokémon series developed by Game Freak under the direction of Junichi Masuda. They were announced on February 26, 2016, February 27 in Japan, twenty years to the day after the release of the first game, Pokémon Green and Red.
