Each level of this abstract puzzler challenges the player to set up a network of pipes to allow an unspecified substance known as a "flooz" to flow through as many of them as possible. Pieces are offered in random order and there are seven different types - straight lines going horizontally or vertically, corners rotating in each of the four directions, and cross pieces that carry the flooz horizontally and vertically. Each of them can be entered from any side. When the flooz reaches a space or room that the previous room cannot flow into, the pipe is complete.
Before the flooz begins to flow from its randomly chosen starting position, the player has several seconds to begin placing coins. They can be dropped off anywhere. However, a situation that can often occur is that there will be a long and complex piping arrangement put in place, but there is still a gap somewhere to be filled. Players can replace one piece with another in the same square (to ease the flow of the flooz this way), but for a slight scoring penalty.
Bonuses are awarded for passing the flooz on both sides of at least 5 crossed pieces, or for passing the flooz through each square on the screen. Later levels have squares on the grid blocked off, some gaps in the side wall (allowing Flooz to sneak to the other side of the screen). After every four levels, there is a bonus game for points, in which the player can place the pieces only in the lowest free space of each column, similar to the board game "Connect 4 ".
