Pikmin 2 is a real-time strategy game, developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo on GameCube in 2004. This game is the sequel to Pikmin, released in 2001 on GameCube.
Pikmin 2 has been re-released for Wii in the New Way to Play! collection, enabling support for the Wiimote's motion recognition features. Shigeru Miyamoto announced at E3 2008 that a sequel was in development. The latter, titled Pikmin 3, was released in 2013 on Wii U.
