Catz 2 is the sequel to Nintendo DS Catz, a title in the Nintendo DS Petz series.
Most of the gameplay from the previous game, which is usual in the series, is retained. Choosing from 10 different breeds of cats (plus three locked Exotics at the start), the game's tasks are to take care of cats and play with them. The player must feed, clean and care for his pet, but also play with him using different toys, make him wear costumes and take pictures of the kitten.
But Catz 2 adds a new goal system based on "Ribbonz". Each time a first task or proposed challenge is completed, a new ribbon is awarded. This will either result in real cat care tips and facts or unlock new tasks and items. Other new features in the second Catz game are the playroom and thought bubbles, which will tell you what your cat is thinking. The playroom, on the other hand, is like a cat training room, which can improve your pet's strength, agility and intelligence.
