Sisters Aya and Saki return to the long-running Onechanbara franchise to stem the evil multitudes of zombies with their samurai swords, stern expressions, and gratuitous sex appeal. Onechanbara Revolution, the first in the Onechanbara franchise for the Nintendo Wii, brings Aya and Saki back along with series regular Reiko, as well as a new character, Misery.
Like all games in the series, Onechanbara Revolution is in the beat 'em up genre and is similar in style to Dynasty Warriors and Devil May Cry. Consistent series gameplay elements include: correct timed attacks or "cool combos" that deal maximum damage, sword fatigue that affects the timing and damage of character attacks, and a "rage meter which turns the player into an "evil state" where the attack's effectiveness is doubled.
ONechanbara Revolution is a game developed separately from Onechanbara vorteX, released for Xbox 360 in 2006, and is not a port.
