A simple game of golf; Nice On puts the shaded green of gray into the hands of traveling players.
The mechanics of playing golf in this game are as simple as they come. The player's chibi avatar stands next to the tee at altitude while a "power bar" fluctuates up and down next to it. When the player presses a button, the power bar's movements will stop, and the bar's height will affect the shot's distance. Before doing so, the player can, of course, indicate the direction in which they want to hit the ball and where they want to hit it on its surface. Hazards, of course, pose a threat to the novice, such as sand traps, intrusive trees, etc. The ball's flight is shown from an aerial view.
Once the ball is on the green, the view remains overhead, whether the ball is moving or being struck. The player can select the direction of the ball strike, and the power bar will resume its spasms; however, the golfer's ball will move on its own without any golfer in sight. The putting green is covered with markings that indicate the subtle slope of the terrain that seeks to keep you away from your triple bogey.
