NEW INTERNATIONAL TRACK & FIELD (NINTENDO DS)

New International Track & Field is a 21st century update to the NES game that features 24 events to participate in.

There are 18 different athletes to choose from, 10 original characters created for the game, and 8 classic Konami characters.

The gameplay consists of using the stylus in various movements on the bottom screen when prompted during gameplay. If the player wishes, they can also use the D-pad and buttons instead and can also use the microphone of the DS to shout encouragement to his athlete, thus giving him a better chance of succeeding in his event.

Players can also customize their characters with various gear and costumes by completing certain in-game objectives and providing online features, allowing up to four opponents to compete in online tournaments and track their stats on global leaderboards.
