MOTORSTORM PACIFIC RIFT PLAYSTATION 3 PS3

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is the sequel to MotorStorm, the PlayStation 3 exclusive racing game and launch title.

Set on and around a volcanic tropical island in the South Pacific, players continue the style of the first game, piloting a diverse mix of vehicles ranging from bikes and ATVs to rally cars and trucks to big trucks and, in a new addition to the series, Monster Trucks. These are capable of running over other cars, destroying vegetation and damaging structures. Some abilities have been improved, for example bikers can now dodge or jump over obstacles. Like its predecessor, the tracks are unconventional and contain several routes, not all of which are suitable.

The tracks will wear over consecutive laps and this will affect the behavior of the vehicles. Small vehicles also suffer from the resistance of vegetation, while larger trucks can cross directly. Areas containing water cause the engine to cool down, which also affects handling. The game can be played in split-screen with up to four players. The game also had online multiplayer modes, but the game's online servers were shut down on October 1, 2012.
