MOTORSTORM APOCALYPSE PLAYSTATION 3 PS3

MotorStorm: Apocalypse is the fourth game in the MotorStorm racing series. The game takes place in an urban environment called The City, inspired by the Bay Area in California. A massive earthquake hit the place providing off-road experience and compared to previous games, it puts more emphasis on the storyline. Much like previous games, it centers around a racing festival, but this time told through three characters - Mash, Tyler and Big Dog - who each represent a level of difficulty; Rookie, Pro and Veteran respectively and unlocked one by one. Big Dog is the leader of the group going to town. The lower difficulty level allows the player to progress with a much less strict finish square, requiring the top five, top three, and first place respectively. The earthquake is still ongoing, so players often have to deal with collapsing buildings, explosions, voids, and raised sidewalks. Cutscenes deepen the story between missions, which span three days per character, with comic book-style sequences and voice-over dialogue. There are about twelve races per character, and the tracks are repeated for each character, but not quite identical.
